Hi. I'm Bob and I'm straight

‘Gay Students Graduate Openly at Military Academies’

Or, Gosh darn it, I’m special.

“Dwyer did not know that a gay alumni group of academy graduates even existed before repeal of ‘don't ask, don't tell.’ On Thursday, Trish Heller, executive director of the academy's gay alumni group called The Blue Alliance, swore him in as an Air Force officer.

"’That was all based on the networking and mentorship relationship from Blue Alliance and Spectrum that would not have happened before, because we just didn't have that much of a presence and that much of a connection with the cadets,’ Heller said.”

(So now, homosexual officers can be mentored by another homosexual officers specifically because both are homosexual And … the Blue Alliance and Spectrum now “have … a connection with the cadets.” Does that “connection” mean attempts at influencing academy rules and regulations?

(Yeah, the barn is on fire and the horses ran away a long time ago, and the fire department truck broke on the way to the fire. Not Mission Capable, but, hey, maybe parts will arrive to fix the truck before the fire spreads to the pastures and then to town.)

Paying for newspaper reporters

“ …it is surely good news that certain nonprofit groups have been paying for certain local Arkansas newspapers to hire additional local reporters.”

http://www.arktimes.com/arkansas/nonprofits-paying-reporters/Content?oid=2230412

Arkansas Community Foundation and the Knight Foundation put in $252,000 each and paid for five newspaper reporters for two years for five Arkansas newspapers.

The headline said ‘Nonprofits paying reporters.’ Arkansas Community Foundation, the “35-year-old nonprofit group headquartered in Little Rock,” used to be Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

I just wonder why a newspaper would even consider having an outside organization pay for a reporter. Five reporters, two years, 10 salaries drawn from the $504,000 grants.

Read the comment following the story. The writer pooched the thing all over the place.

Boys will be …

Guilty! Guilty! Holymaloly, some junior high kid texted a threat to another kid and the school goes into lockdown and cops are called and moms’ndads get hysterical and “we are pressing charges to the fullest extent possible” says the school superintendent.

“Bully,” said President TR. Oh. That’s not what he meant?

Looks kind of redneck

Ramshackle house, little pigs in the back yard, a saddle mule, hound dogs …

Some over-educated white man come along, he’d record the music, make musical notes on paper, write about ethos of the poor, write about a philosophy or imagined history … That’s what over-educated white folks do when encountering a thing out of normal, normal being things of their own kind.

Save us from the educated and knowledgeable, those without experience.
