Well, now, that got me scratching my head and wondering: ‘Why do they want to know?’ According to various state’s DMV web pages, having this veteran’s designation added to your license (to paraphrase) ‘is to to help you receive benefits, discounts and freebies from businesses who honor our veterans, and for you to be recognized for your service.’”
