NC company officials guilty of fake USA labels on combat boots

President of Wellco Enterprises, Inc., gets three years for selling China-made boots as Made in USA.

Three years is not enough.

“The company has been the lead boot supplier for the Department of Defense for more than 70 years.”

“Ferguson and his executive team’s Chinese import scheme began as early as December 2008 and lasted through August 2012, a time in which they sold more than $8.1 million worth of the fraudulent boots, according to the release.”

For more than 70 years the company has been paid millions of tax-payer dollars, but then decided to cheat taxpayers, the government and American soldiers, just to make more bucks.

Despicable.
