Yesterday I tried to buy a Nookbook novel online from Barnes and Noble. B&N said my card was declined. I mentioned that to my wife, who is keeper of the books and most other things. She called Bank of America this morning and was told the chip was bad. Wait a minute. I was making an online transaction. No scanner, no swiping through a device. Just a simple click here and click there. It isn't my computer's camera lens; I covered that up a long time ago. So, how does a business conclude my card chip is bad when I am in my home and the business is who knows how far away? The Bank of America person said our credit limit was good. She is sending a new card. More Big Business Brother at work? Maybe Barnes and Noble decided I should not read the book I wanted to buy?
