Parents of children from the village
of Nichras, Tabasaran District of Dagestan, have refused to send their children
to a new school, because it has no water and sewage system. The prosecutor's
office has announced the start of a check.
The construction of the school in
Nichras was launched in 2014-2015; over 78 million roubles were allocated. The
process was over in 2019. However, there is no sewerage facility and water
supply system in the school building, Kunakbek Seferbekov, a deputy of the
Turaga rural council, has stated, adding that pupils' parents have refused to
send them to school on September 1.
The Dagestan Prosecutor's Office has
started checking the information about the conditions at the Nichras village
school.
"The republic's Prosecutor's
Office has organized a check of the information about the absence of water
supply and inadequate state of the school territory in the village of Nichras,
Tabasaran District," the TASS has quoted the message of the Prosecutor's
