Sri Lanka has “an almost perfect” ESG score of 98 percent. The US ESG is 51 percent, Sweden’s 96 percent. ESG is a green measurement of Environmental, Social and Governance criteria. Yea for Sri Lanka, right?
The
government fell several days ago, with the president safely on board a Sri
Lankan navy ship several miles off shore.
After
winning a civil war, the government went all-out on green measures, especially
ending the import of chemical fertilizers. Farm produce dropped tremendously.
The economy followed.
The people
rose up.
