Workers in League City, Texas, found “a small purse from the 1950s” inside the walls of a former school building.
Okay. ID the owner and give it back.
Well, historical society and school officials are taking a different tack.
“The
historical society said it will reveal more details about the purse discovery at its Oct. 27
meeting.”
Great.
Beverly Williams’ diary entries will become historical record now?
Of the
diary, a historical society official said: “Picture it as today's Facebook:
you're putting everything down. She wrote about her love life, who she broke up
with.”
“today’s
Facebook”? No. No, no. The historical society lady knows not of which she
speaks. Stuff on Facebook, you want people to read. A diary entry from a school
girl in the 1950s? She was interested in privacy.
