My glasses from VA were delivered within a week of my last visit to the eye clinic. Unfortunately, the lenses were not ground. Today I got an email for rating service and satisfaction. Pardon my laughter. Included in the email was this statement:
“PDS Consultants Inc is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employers as well a Drug Free Workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender or sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.”
Why do those people believe I really GAF about their stated employment practices? Do those people believe recipients of their missives so stupid as to think a firm employed by an agency of the U.S. government would be anything other than as stated? Another bureaucratic requirement that takes time and your/my tax money.
The form to fill out gave me two
locations to choose as to where I got my glasses, Fort Walton or Baltimore. Uh,
neither. But when I tried to send the form, the system refused to accept my
venture because I had not chosen one of
the incorrect locations.
Why am I not surprised?
