There is official cold, and then there is experience cold.
This morning, a cardinal landed in a crape myrtle tree in the back yard.
Cardinals do not winter in warm areas. In Northeast Texas, it was not unusual in winter to see herds of a dozen cardinals.
Could be the one this morning was a scout. Could be others are on the way.
