Soviet hero workers disappearing

Few democratic countries rely on murals to exemplify a sitting government. In President F.D. Roosevelt’s government of the Depression, hundreds of government buildings received art paid for by tax money.

In the former Soviet Union, there remain some murals depicting the wonders of Communism-Marxism-Leninism-Stalinism.
