Just a thought

The United States was born from fear an overseas government would force new taxes on producers and consumers and that the same government would take away a citizen’s natural rights.

Since 1776, we have been given enemies to prove our national outlook that we are different. France in an undeclared war in the late 18th century; England again in the 1812 war; Southern slaveholders or Northern aggressors in 1861; Spain in 1898 … The list goes on.

So in the modern, global, everyone and everything is equal world, what happens when we decide we are not different than anybody else? Will we run out of enemies?

No, they will find us. Because we are different. And they want our stuff.
