Andy Griffith had a stand-up routine about going to a ballet. All I remember is this (paraphrased):
Now, one thing you have to
remember in a ballet is, the men don’t like where the women are standing. No,
no, they don’t, ‘cause they’re always picking up the women and moving them
someplace else.
(I would add: And they never
move the women in a straight line. Never. They’ll go sideways for a while and then
take another angle, even move in circles like a cowboy in town on Saturday
night. And sometimes, they’ll even hold the women waaay up in the air and look
at ‘em, like they’re trying to make out if they’ve got the right one.)
