John Hickenlooper wants to be president. Hickenlooper is a Democrat. Hickenlooper does not know how the U.S.
government works.
“Presidential candidate John Hickenlooper said
that he would pass a bill paying reparations to the descendants of slaves while
speaking at Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network convention on Friday.”
One more time: Presidents do
not pass bills. Presidents sign bills into law. Sometimes, a president vetoes a
bill; that is, he says “No,” and the bill returns to Congress, for a possible
vote to override the president’s veto.
Hickenlooper is a former
governor of Colorado. The air is thin in places in Colorado, making proper
judgment sometimes difficult.
