Out of the Closet Thrift Store in St. Petersburg is a lavender and teal building in a sort-of art deco style. A sign above the front door proclaims, “Benefiting AIDS Healthcare Foundation.”

As if the colors and the notice were not sufficient to identify the character of the building, another sign along one side adds emphasis:

“Drop offs and donations in rear.”
