MIT professor took money from Epstein

But, so did the university, and so did at least one other professor.

Mechanical engineering professor Seth Lloyd says he is sorry, it was a mistake to take the $225,000 “research money,” a mistake to take a personal gift of $60,000 and a mistake not to tell the university about the money.

Yeah, just like a murderer who says he’s made bad decisions, his decisions hurt some people, but he has learned from his mistakes and he won’t make those mistakes again.

And, Epstein told Lloyd he was sorry for what he had done, “and assured me he would not re-offend.”

“Re-offend.” Such a nice way of saying he would no longer have sex with underage girls, nor would he provide underage girls to his wealthy and powerful friends.

To reinforce his confession, the MIT professor said he “participated in a system of privilege and entitlement.” That means he was in with a bunch of rich white men.

Overall, Epstein gave $850,000 to the famed university.

“Three MIT vice presidents were also aware of Epstein's donations to the MIT Media Lab and his convicted sex offender status in 2013, the report said. The report does not specify if they were disciplined.

MIT says it was OK for the university to take the money, because "MIT had no policy or processes for handling controversial donors in place at the time,” meaning “the decision to accept Epstein's post-conviction donations cannot be judged to be a policy violation." But, “it is clear that the decision was the result of collective and significant errors in judgment that resulted in serious damage to the MIT community."

Ah. The famous “errors in judgment.” Just like “I’ve made some bad decisions.”

There is no telling the depth of Epstein’s influence, nor the number of people he paid off with 14- and 15-year-old girls.
