California woman did it her way

She just wanted to go to jail

“Graciela Guadalupe Ayala, wanted on a felony warrant out of Kings County, told officers she decided to have ‘one last beer’ before surrendering at the Kings County Jail.”

So she did. With a friend, a six-pack and driving a pink 1994 Crown Victoria, followed by local police, CHP and a helicopter.

At the end of the ride, “a CHP officer pulled up alongside of the Crown Victoria and nudged its rear, attempting to spin the pink car around and immobilize it. Ayala recovered, righted her car and continued heading east to Mall Drive, where she turned into the Government Center parking lot, hung a left and followed the road around to the Kings County Jail, where she surrendered without further incident.”
