Veterans are 'great and wonderful'; maybe a little crazy too

Feinstein says Iraq/Afghan veterans come back with this new post-something and should be banned from buying evil assault rifles. On buying million-round magazines, Colorado Sen. Hoge says, “Yes, these are all great and wonderful people, but some of them come back with significant mental health problems and I think we need to check through that first.”

“Great and wonderful.” Wasn’t that the description of the Oz? (Emerald City Oz, not the one married to Sharon.) My mistake. Oz was “the great and powerful.” But don’t you see the snarky in “Yes, these are great and wonderful people”? “and my cat is nice, too.”
