Jason Isringhausen, right-handed pitcher, selected by the New York Mets in the 44th round of the 1991 draft. Number One that year was Brien Taylor. Number Five was Kenny Henderson. Number 15 was Tyrone Hill. None of those players got to The Show.
Isringhausen spent 16 years in the major leagues, had a won-loss record of 51-55; an ERA of 3.64; picked up 300 saves; pitched in two All Star games and a World Series; and made more than $55 million.
