Fifty houses in town were built before 1940, the most of any decade. Three-quarters of the people who drive to work drive alone. Of Bethune’s residents, 129 were born in Mexico, or 100% of the foreign-born. Those 129 make up 23.9 percent of the population. Forty-eight percent of Bethune residents do not have a high school education. In 2010, Bethune had one fatal car wreck, two vehicles, five people in the cars, four died. Alcohol was not a contributing factor.

Conclusion from searches on three Colorado towns: Other than silver mining nothing of historical value ever happened in Colorado. An over-abundance of ski resorts does not count.
