What the government had to say after the press
found out about the unannounced visit: “In a short media release on Thursday,
the government just said that its representatives, including the prime
minister, have working meetings on economic matters on a daily basis, and that
they have no obligation to inform the public about all of them.”
North Macedonia legalized growth of marijuana for
medicinal purposes in 2016. Private use is illegal.
“North Macedonia hopes to get a share of the
worldwide sales of medicinal marijuana that in 2018 exceed 7 billion euros. Some
estimates suggest that this figure is expected to triple over the next three
years.”
