That is an idea considered by every thinking person, and is quickly proved untrue by the application of: “Do what?”
Now, though,
physicists are (reportedly) in serious conversation over the idea.
From Sputnik
News
“Future developments in the
field of physics may lead to time itself being regarded as non-existent, at
least in the context of some theories, says Sam Baron, associate professor in
philosophy at the Australian Catholic University.”
Apparently there are a couple
of physics theories that bump each other for transcendence, or prove each other
false, or give physicists headaches. Sometimes we might think, “You guys have
gone a long way in proving stuff, but, you know, why not give it a rest?”
Those folks who tried to build
a tower to heaven got into things they did not comprehend, could not
comprehend, and were scattered to the four winds, or however many winds there
are.
God made time; man divided
time into measurable amounts.
