“According to Orbán, Texas – called
the Lone Star State – represents independence, freedom, and sovereignty. ‘My
country, Hungary, is the lone star state of Europe,’ the Prime Minister said,
remarking that Hungarians have been fighting for these values for 500 years.
“’In Hungary, we have not only built a physical wall at our borders and a financial wall around our families, but we have also built a legal wall to protect our children from the gender ideology that targets them,” Viktor Orbán stressed. “Family ties shall be based on marriage or the relationship between parents and children. To sum up: the mother is a woman, the father is a man, and leave our kids alone. Full stop. End of discussion,” Orbán explained.
