Moving to a vacation home does not lessen chances of infection

My youngest son lives in an RV park in Georgia. He is an Army recruiter, stationed west of Atlanta. Like most others at the park, he owns his RV and is a permanent resident. Other RVs serve as vacation homes,

People who have moved from cities to their vacation RVs decided they were safe from infection now, and can act without regard to safety rules. Those people hang out by the pool, grill food poolside and have parties.

And children of those people have not been told to keep away from other people. Parents don’t follow the rules, so why should the kids?

When my son took his dog on a walk, those kids ran up, saying, “Oh, what a pretty dog! Can I pet him?”

Now, my son takes his dog to a place several miles from the park. There are no people to interfere with the walks.

The dumb parents of the uninformed kids assume, “Hey, this stuff just gets old people. We’re not old, so we don’t have to worry.”
