‘Panelists in Benton backing ex-Texan’
The story in today’s online Arkansas Democrat-Gazette has to do with a “former Texas businessman” recommended for appointment to the Benton city personnel committee.
There is no such thing as an “ex-Texan.” Unless somebody voluntarily gives up his/her citizenship, in which case he/she would be considered for a stay at the state hospital in Terrell. The best treatment for attempting to surrender Texas citizenship would be to let the disturbed person live somewhere else for a while and then welcome him/her with open arms when sanity returns.
