Limbaugh steps on it again

Yesterday, Rush Limbaugh accused “the U.S. Army” of listing "evangelical Christianity, Catholicism and some Judaism” in a manual on extremists. Limbaugh was wrong, but no radio talk person (or Progressive/Democrat) has ever let facts stand in the way of a good story.

Today in a diatribe against Hillary Clinton, Limbaugh said the former secretary of state gave up her Ivy League education to move “to the swamps, the sticks, of Arkansas … where Deliverance was filmed.”

Well, Mr. Limbaugh, there you go again, playing fast and loose with facts. Deliverance was filmed in several places in Georgia and South Carolina, both states a considerable distance from Arkansas.

The bigger part of Limbaugh stepping on it, though, probably does not set well with his supporters in The Natural State. People here do not like to be told they live in swamps or in the sticks. I am not a supporter, but as a resident of Arkansas, I will tell Mr. Limbaugh: “Bugger off.”
