So now the Gosnell trial will get more coverage

But MSM writers aren’t looking at the murder aspects? Not so much as how Gosnell’s actions will affect abortion rights.

Megan McArdle, The Daily Beast: I can't bring myself to describe them … The truth is that most of us tend to be less interested in sick-making stories—if the sick-making was done by "our side." Moreover, surely those of us who are pro-choice must worry that this will restrict access to abortion: that a crackdown on abortion clinics will follow, with onerous white-glove inspections; that a revolted public will demand more restrictions on late-term abortions; or that women will be too afraid of Gosnell-style crimes to seek a medically necessary abortion.

And, McArdle said, descriptions made her ill. “I can't bring myself to describe them … The truth is that most of us tend to be less interested in sick-making stories—if the sick-making was done by ‘our side.’"

So McArdle discovered something: Bad things happen in an abortion. She would not admit that a “baby” died. “It suggests that sometimes, those fetuses are delivered alive.”

As John Nolte says at breitbart, “the left-wing media” will “spin the Gosnell horrors into a pro-choice argument for safer abortion clinics.”

But, he adds, “What is also likely to happen is an increased public knowledge of the act of outright infanticide known as partial-birth abortion. For over a decade now, the media has tried to turn that horror into a ‘right-wing myth.’ But now we not only have an example of a doctor eagerly engaged and made wealthy by the practice, but other doctors referring patients to him.”
