Rookies

1925 Philadelphia Athletics player debuts: April 14 – Mickey Cochrane and Lefty Grove; May 7 – Jimmie Foxx. Two other rookies – Jim Poole and Red Smith – also started on April 14, but unlike the other three, did not make the Baseball Hall of Fame.
