There is audacity and then there is follow up

Audacity (AKA dumbassity):

“CAPE CANAVERAL -- A Brevard County man is facing charges, accused of threatening to blow up a strip club in Cape Canaveral.

“Deputies said Ronald Brightman, 55, tried to enter Lido Caberet on Cleveland Avenue last Sunday with a beer in his hand.

“When the manager tried to take it away, investigators said Brightman got mad and threatened to bomb the club.

“The sheriff's office said Brightman also threatened to shoot and kill any deputies who tried to arrest him.”

Follow up

Years ago my Uncle Dee caused umbrage at a honkey tonk in Oklahoma. A couple or four good ol’ boys whupped him for a farethewell. Dee said he would be back, and he got in his car and drove across the Red River, to his house, where he picked up a submachine gun M3, five-fingered several years earlier by another relative from an Army facility. Uncle Dee loaded the M3 with its normal 30-round, .45-caliber magazine and returned to the Oklahoma joint. He walked in and stood just inside the door, long enough for folks to get a good look at the submachine gun. Then he stepped outside and off the porch and held the M3 sideways and parallel to the ground and held down the trigger for 30 rounds, with the gun’s recoil causing horizontal, waist-high movement. When the bolt locked back, Uncle Dee got in his car and drove back to Texas. Nobody came after him.
