Ohio State campus police agree, add, she “placed the threats herself prior to reporting them.”

Senate president gives a “Whaat?” comment:

“’We are still processing and encouraging our members to take time to heal and utilize campus support resources right now,’ Student Senate President Maddie Sloat said in a statement.”

Here’s a reality: Only Democratic/Progressive/Socialists “take time to heal” when somebody lies about something.

Isn't it strange that the people who claim to "promote intercultural coexistence" always want us, whose civilization has developed over thousands of years, to change our ways for those who want to reverse everyone else's civilization? We live in the 21st century; they want the world to regress to the 7th century.

Australia has more than 21 coal-fired power stations in operation, and still relies heavily on coal for electricity.

There are no new coal-fired power stations currently being built in Australia, but Energy Market Analyst Tim Buckley has told The Signal 80 per cent of Australia’s coal is exported.

He said he believes “it’s entirely possible, [but] it’s entirely improbable” that Australia will manage to wean itself off coal by 2050, if the current policy settings remain.

Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines are all planning to build new power plants.

Tim Buckley said if all those plans come to pass, the rest of the world’s cuts won’t be enough to compensate for that increase.

“Therefore we have to assume that the world is going to go off the climate cliff.”

Danish government decides to waste a lot of money

New “climate change” plan includes capturing and storing carbon produced in fields and forests. Is that like a war on grass and trees?

Measures proposed:

• Phasing out the sale of new petrol and diesel cars by 2030
• Zero carbon emissions and zero air pollution from buses in Danish cities by 2030
• 80 million kroner to be invested in charging stations for electric cars
• No registration fees for sustainable vehicles under the value of 400,000 kroner in 2019 and 2020
• No diesel or petrol-fuelled taxis by 2030
• Environmental zones in cities with increased requirements for transport and public vehicles
• ‘Climate-friendly’ asphalt to be used on public roads
• Fireplaces pre-dating the year 2000 must be removed on purchase of homes
• Climate labelling on food products
• Research to develop carbon capture and storage technologies for use in fields and forests

No diesel, no old chimneys, environmental impact data on food purchases, climate friendly asphalt…The personal income tax rate in Denmark is 55.8 percent. If my math holds up, for every dollar a Dane earns, he/she gives almost 56 cents to the government.

Danes reportedly are the happiest people in the world. Given the tax rate, there is something to be said for getting pissed off.

A cattle crossing on the Red River

DOANS, TEXAS. Doans, also known as Doan's Store or Doan's Crossing, is at the junction of Farm roads 2916 and 924, a mile southwest of the Red River in north central Wilbarger County. Jonathan Doan and his nephew Corwin Doan established a trading post in 1878 to serve the cattle drivers who used the nearby Great Western Trail to get their herds to market. A post office was established at the store in 1879 with Corwin Doan as postmaster. The cattle drives on the Great Western Trail reached their peak in 1881, when more than 300,000 head passed by Doans; between 1879 and 1895 six million head came through the settlement. By the mid-1880s Doans had a school, a hotel, a general store, a saloon, and a population estimated at 300. A wide variety of people came to the town to do business: cowboys, ranchers, Indians, buffalo hunters, peddlers, and itinerant preachers; one of the more famous visitors was Quanah Parker.

In 1885, when the Fort Worth and Denver Railway bypassed Doans by several miles, the cattle drives that had been so important to the town's economy were rendered obsolete, and the town had no rail service to help replace the drives with new business. By the mid-1890s the population had fallen to seventy-five; it fell to thirty by 1914, and at that time only the general store remained. Postal service to Doans was discontinued in 1919, and by the 1930s the number of residents had dwindled to ten. The Doans school was consolidated in 1935 into the Northside school district. From the 1940s through the 1990s the population of Doans was reported at twenty. An annual picnic, a tradition that began in 1884, was held at Doans each May. In 1931 a historical marker was placed at Doans to commemorate the trail drives.

Forgiveness is an afterthought?

Heine was a writer, poet and etc. and, as poets and etc.s think, had enemies of a higher nature. I don’t have any enemies. I suppose that makes me lacking in forgiveness. If you have never had to do a thing, you cannot understand the thing. Or something.

Not at all surprising

In UK, disadvantaged white boys least likely to make it to university.

It is Britain, which sits near Europe and has been too-much influenced by war-losing France and Germany.

There is not much emphasis these days on helping white boys. In the US, white men are labeled racist homophobes and often are intellectually and academically bullied in college.

The UK will give a few million pounds “to boost standards” in education, whatever that means. Maybe whoever is in charge of boosting standards could pay the disadvantaged boys.
