No-staring rule at Australian night club

Complete with guard to watch for starers.

“I’ve been watching that guy over there…”

Well, then, you broke the rule.

From Ace of Spades HQ

A nightclub in Sydney, Australia, has banned staring at other patrons, threatening violators with a call to law enforcement.

“Club 77 published Its new safety and harassment policy on its site, which explicitly states that patrons must get consent to stare ‘at someone from afar.’ To enforce this new policy, the club will designate one security guard as a ‘safety officer’ every night, identifiable by a pink high-visibility vest, the policy states.

“The club developed the new rule in the hopes of remaining a ‘safe space’ after it had recently ‘attracted some people who do not share our values and ethics when it comes to club culture,’ according to the New York Post. Violators will have the police called on them for ‘harassment,’ according to the statement.”

That’s the way it goes. Give up your guns, first thing you know feministi accusing you of illegal staring.

If the liars do not know they lie, they are stupid

From Ace of Spades HQ

The benefit of the doubt always goes to the left. See Al Gore’s media-supported global warming/climate change for examples. New York should have been flooded by now. Last time I looked, it wasn’t. Numerous Pacific island nations should be under water. There should be no Arctic ice. Gigantic icebergs should be drifting north after breaking loose from Antarctica. Etc. and etc.

“The trans academics are not wrong, they lied. The FBI was not wrong about Trump or mistakenly overzealous about Whitmer, they are lying partisans. The climate scientists didn't fail to predict X, Y or Z, they have no ability to predict. The green energy lobby isn't optimistic about their potential, they're lying about it. These people don't deserve the benefit of the doubt, and neither does anyone extending it to them. When you see someone extending the benefit of the doubt, just take the opposite position and you'll be right virtually 100% of the time.

I wondered what Greta was up to these days

Something I learned

A couple of days ago I watched a British War Ministry film about a 1944 bombing mission  by 600 RAF bombers on Berlin. The documentary focused on one Avro Lancaster bomber. I was surprised to learn that the four-engine Lancaster did not have a co-pilot. All flying was in the hands of one pilot. One man to fly the bomber with its load of thousands of pounds of bombs to a target and home again. One man.

I had heard of Bomber Command losses during World War II, but a simple search brings numbers that makes service by those RAF personnel even more amazing.

“The successes of Bomber Command were purchased at terrible cost. Of every 100 airmen who joined Bomber Command, 45 were killed, 6 were seriously wounded, 8 became Prisoners of War, and only 41 escaped unscathed (at least physically). Of the 120,000 who served, 55,573 were killed including over 10,000 Canadians. Of those who were flying at the beginning of the war, only ten percent survived. It is a loss rate comparable only to the worst slaughter of the First World War trenches. Only the Nazi U-Boat force suffered a higher casualty rate.

https://www.bombercommandmuseum.ca/bomber-command/bomber-commands-losses/

Not a bucket list

I don’t have a bucket list. Procrastination is part of my later-in-life makeup. Tonight, though, while watching the first Tremors for probably the fifth time, I took time out to check Fred Ward. I knew he was in Remo Williams, the Adventure Begins, but not much else.

Ward died three months ago. He was a journeyman actor. Watching a Ward movie, you know you’re going to get a good performance.

What I didn’t know about Remo Williams is, the film was based on The Destroyer “pulp paperback series,” as Wikipedia says. So, I looked further. The Destroyer series consists of more than 150 novels. Tonight I ordered the first, Created, The Destroyer. I’m not saying I will read all 150-plus novels, but if they prove to be good reads, I’ll give it a shot.

So I said to the lieutenant, "Yes, Sir. You bet we can set it up that way."

“Anti-LGBTQ demonstrators protesting a Sunday drag brunch at Anderson Distillery and Grill in Roanoke, Texas were met by armed counterprotesters carrying rifles. The incident illustrates the growing culture war as rightwingers baselessly accuse drag performers and the queer community of ‘sexualizing children,’ leading to threats of violence and mounting tensions.

Yale will survive anyway

It’s too powerful to fail.

From Never Yet Melted

November 2021 headcount:

4,464 undergraduate students

4,962 faculty

5,042 administrators

https://neveryetmelted.com/2022/08/26/the-report-yale-doesnt-want-you-to-see/

Yale doesn’t want “you” to see? Whoever puts reports together at Yale doesn’t care what “you” see. “You” don’t support Yale with thousands of dollars. More than likely, Yale doesn’t care who sees the report. There is an explanation for everything. That’s why Yale has more than 5,000 administrators.

I don't care about Yale, but it is interesting to see an Ivy League school so filled with itself it must have such a ratio of drones to teachers/students.

Getting set up

Starting at 0730, it took three trips to get the writing machine and ancillary items from the house to the lanai, with my VA-supplied walker as transport. The lap top and power cord made the first trip without incident. Moving from the living room and onto the lanai paving stones is a four-inch drop and requires manipulation of four wheels, careful not to exceed a certain angle, lest everything on the walker slide off and impact the stones. I have a small glass-topped table to set the computer on while getting other items. (My generic Lasix just kicked in, so I must hie to the bathroom. … Now I am back. Time and Lasix, whether generic or brand name, wait for no man. Discovery: The onboard spell check does not recognize “hie.”)

With computer and power cord set on the table, I take a long extension cord from another table and plug it into an inside access. There is an access on a lanai wall, but it is very low and behind a couch. To use that access requires that I move the rattan couch, get on my knees, bend over, open the access cover and somehow match three-prong male cord to the three-access female receptacle, struggle to my feet and reset the couch.  Using the indoor receptacle is easier. My knees no longer have any padding, nor my legs the strength of 15 years ago. I don’t know that we are “supposed” to avoid using male and female terms, but of a certainty surely there are a few thousands of people who believe (or “feel”) that use of those terms in describing an electrical cord is continuation of colonialism and the patriarchy and denotes the highest form of white privilege. Gender-free electrical cords matter.

I do not yet plug in the computer power cord because I will be moving around and do not want to entangle my feet. Back in the kitchen, I pour a cup of coffee into a NASA mug and fill my thermos. The mug also contains a lid full of Miralax. The thermos I transport on my walker; I carry the mug. I have a tray for moving plates of food, but dumped a former tray onto the lanai, breaking the tray and a bowl of cereal, therefore, no taking the replacement tray on downhill voyages. With mug and thermos properly and firmly set in place on the table, I return to the kitchen and retrieve my previously-fixed breakfast – cottage cheese and blueberries, and about 10 or 12 M&Ms with peanuts. The M&Ms represent an extravagance, but since the end of January I have lost 25 pounds (230 v 255) and occasionally break my self-induced diet rules.

Computer plugged in and fired up, coffee sipped, now what should I work on? I have four manuscripts sort of complete – three Vietnam novels and a 90,000-word novel on parallel universes – An Incident in Luna County. I do not know how to prepare a work for electronic publishing. I also have Time Travel Ad and several Life after Life novellas, none with a title, each concerning good people who die and are transported elsewhere, in accordance with Stormy Llewelyn’s belief that this world is boot camp, and those who do not succumb to evil here are graced with fighting evil on other worlds. It is a likelihood I find comforting.

The courage to admit a problem

 From Daily News Hungary

“According to the ÁSZ (the State Audit Office), the feminisation of the teaching profession may have contributed to the shift in gender ratios, as 82 percent of teachers are women. According to the majority of those interviewed, women possess qualities that are necessary for teaching. These are emotional, social maturity, diligence, listening to words, tolerance for monotony, good verbal and written expressiveness. Schools usually put a greater emphasis on these than on boys’ mathematical, technical abilites. The “punishment” of masculine qualities in schools causes mental problems for boys, who cannot develop their special abilities and affects their diligence, writes Népszava.

The Texas Playboys and an 1856 anti-slavery song

In an episode of the British police procedure show McDonald and Dodds, a jazz club singer sang a song with these lyrics:

They like to chat about the dresses they will wear tonight

They chew the fat about their tresses and the neighbor's fight;

Inconsequential things that men don't really care to know

Become essential things that women find so ‘apropos.’"

The third line was intriguing, “Inconsequential things that men don’t really care to know.”

Search for that line resulted in identification of the song as “Girl Talk,” written by Bobby Troup. Him I knew as husband of jazz singer Julie London. Another search was necessary to find out more about the song.

That search led to Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, specifically to Leon McCauliffe, who recorded Troup’s “Three Little Bears.” Following on, McCauliffe was listed as recording “Faded Love” in 1962. For years, that Bob Wills song was determined the best country-western song ever written. Search on “Faded Love” showed that the song was patterned after Darling Nelly Gray, “a 19th century anti-slavery song written and composed by Benjamin Hanby in 1856.” A look at the lyrics shows that Faded Love fits the rhythm and pattern of Nelly Gray:

There's a low, green valley, on the old Kentucky shore.
Where I've whiled many happy hours away,
A-sitting and a-singing by the little cottage door,
Where lived my darling Nelly Gray.

Chorus
Oh! my poor Nelly Gray, they have taken you away,
And I'll never see my darling any more;
I'm sitting by the river and I'm weeping all the day.
For you've gone from the old Kentucky shore.

(Full lyrics are easily found by search.)

Musicians have borrowed tunes since…, forever. It’s possible that David as a shepherd borrowed harp tunes for his own use. He was known to use possessions of another.

Finding Faded Love an offspring of an anti-slavery song really wasn’t a surprise, considering Bob Wills’ Take Me Back to Tulsa, and the line “Black folks pick the cotton, white folks get the money.”

Whattta we want? More named storms! When do we want 'em?

You know how that goes.

From Ace of Spades HQ

“We are now in peak hurricane season for the Atlantic Ocean, which lasts from August 20 to September 20 each year. So far there have been no hurricanes, nor anything close. According to the experts, this is either because of global warming, or despite global warming. Or both. Because science, of course.

“But there have been three named ‘tropical storms.’ Global Warming alarmists like to hype the increased number of named tropical storms as proof of climate change. Thus, there is demand for more named storms, which NOAA dutifully provides.

“Two of this year’s three named storms would not have been considered actual tropical storms before the weather became so politicized. Tropical Storm Bonnie was an unorganized storm with squalls up to 50 mph as it moved ashore. It was a named storm for less than one day. Tropical Storm Colin had gusts up to 40 mph as it moved ashore in South Carolina. It was a named tropical storm for only a few hours.

“When it comes to defining tropical storms, maximum sustained winds have pretty much given way to ‘strongest gust’ so as to ensure more named storms. NOAA is no different than the CDC nowadays - another federal agency that has shed all legitimacy in pursuit of a political agenda.”

(Maximum sustained winds no longer the measurement of a storm, replaced with “strongest gust.” Ah, The Science.)

Three men decide to free a wild hog from a cage in an “abandoned forest.” Two men get inside the cage with the hog. One grabs its tail, the other one of its legs. The hog is not pleased with the humans. It turns on them. Apparently, no humans were injured in the making of the video.

Note to humans: Wild hogs are called “wild” for a reason. They will kill you. Blame the humans’ stupid action on hundreds of “Aren’t they cute” videos of other wild animals.

Grimm and the anti-communist campaign in the Philippines

In Season 3, Episode of Grimm, titled Mommy Dearest, the heroes destroy an Aswang, a monster from Pilipino mythology that sucks amniotic fluid from pregnant women and then eats the fetus.

From The Culture Trip

“Deep in the darkest heart of the Philippines sits a terrifying creature. As night falls it begins the hunt for human blood, stalking its prey in the shadows of your town, neighbourhood and even your own home.

“Its tongue drips in hunger, emitting a tick-tick-ticking noise from the vast darkness. This is the aswang, the most feared creature in Philippine folklore.

https://theculturetrip.com/asia/philippines/articles/aswang-the-terrifying-vampire-ghouls-of-the-philippines/

Nick, Hank and the cast eliminate the aswang in Portland, but 60 years before the Portland incident, an Air Force counter-guerrilla advisor used the aswang to eliminate Communist insurgents.

As Wikipedia says: “…Lansdale spread rumors that Aswangs, blood-sucking demons in Philippine folklore, were loose in the jungle. His men then captured an enemy soldier and drained the blood from his body, leaving the corpse where it could be seen and making the Hukbalahap flee the region.”

That is called psychological warfare, but these days probably falls under
“war crime.” There used to be a saying, “All’s fair in love and war,” but modern society has removed war from the equation.

If you’re going to San Francisco – Don’t

From The Post Millennial

“According to an analysis by the Hoover Institute, since the fiscal year 2016–17, San Francisco has spent over $2.8 billion on homelessness, but year after year, the number of homeless in the city continues to spike, as do opioid overdoses, which outnumber Covid deaths as the city has become one of the most dangerous in the US.”

The San Francisco Chronicle recently investigated San Francisco’s Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH). The agency funds nonprofits that rent hotel rooms and provide aid for homeless people in approximately 70 hotels. The program costs taxpayers roughly $160 million annually.

“According to the outlet, in 16 of these hotels, the city failed to oversee and evaluate the program which created ‘a pattern of chaos, crime, and death.’”

Does the Executive Branch have the authority to "forgive" student loans?

It is a simple question.

If the Student Loan program is enshrined in law written by the Legislative Branch and if it is funded by budgets proposed-and-passed by the Legislative Branch, what language in the law grants the Executive Branch unilateral authority to modify the conditions of those loans?

Inconvenience

My wife and I voted in the primary today. The location was inconvenient, in the club house of a golf course in a gated community, where the least expensive houses looked like $500,000 homes.

We had to be allowed in by a gate guard, which required photo ID. The signs pointing to the actual location were small and of limited number.

I said to the voting officials, "I know you had nothing to do with this location, but it is an encumbrance." The official agreed. He said, "You should contact the county party people and tell them." I said I would.

Were I a minority voter, I would have good cause for complaint, of being approved by a uniformed guard, driving past such expensive houses and then voting in a golf course club house.

Going to Hell and not waiting for the handbasket

A couple of headlines.

‘Episcopal Church comes out in support of sex changes at all ages’

https://borepatch.blogspot.com/

‘Faith leaders applaud Episcopal Church’s approval of rite to bless same-sex unions and the ordination of transgender people’

From the story accompanying the second headline.

“Members of the National Religious Leadership Roundtable, convened by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, applauded the Episcopal Church’s approval of an official liturgy for blessing same-sex unions and a nondiscrimination policy that will allow transgender people to be ordained to the priesthood.”

“Faith leaders.” “National Religious Leadership Roundtable.” “National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.”

Not just doublespeak, because that applies to government lies. This is triplespeak, because it applies to the devil himself, or theirself to his/her/their followers who in ignorance do not know what they are doing, except it makes them feel good not to be bound by the rules of G-d.

The second headline was some time ago, but it came up in a search for information on the first.

The Episcopal Church approved queer and lesbian priests, bishops and etc., and now the denomination says it knows G-d also approves of sex changes of children.

A comment from the link at borepatch: As my wife has been saying for years: "The whole trans thing is trying to say that God made a mistake."

History

From Gun Free Zone

100 years ago: “You’re gonna build the NYC skyline out of iron, throwing red hot rivets at each other, 1000 feet up, with no safety gear.”

60 years ago: “You’re going to build the arsenal of democracy, the highest quality of life the middle-class has ever seen, and hold communism at bay.”

Today: “You’re gonna watch this PowerPoint by some obese feminist about how toxic you are, then have HR and Compliance micromanage your shit to death.”

It is no wonder why the two leading causes of death for men under 50 is overdose and suicide. Men are failing out of society that for decades has told them they are worthless, an economy that has made them obsolete, and a pop culture that insults them constantly.

https://gunfreezone.net/what-really-kills-me-about-that-scene-from-she-hulk/

That last paragraph? Anybody who succumbs to death from hurt feelings, you should have balled up at some point. I have had office jobs and sweat in the sun, get dirty and get the job done jobs. Everybody should spend at least three years in a military service, where two things matter: get the mission done and take care of your soldiers. Civilians do not have a mission that requires more than a minimum of effort.

‘The globalists can go to hell, I have come to Texas’ – Hungarian PM Viktor Orban at CPAC-Texas

From Hungary Today

“According to Orbán, Texas – called the Lone Star State – represents independence, freedom, and sovereignty. ‘My country, Hungary, is the lone star state of Europe,’ the Prime Minister said, remarking that Hungarians have been fighting for these values for 500 years.

“’In Hungary, we have not only built a physical wall at our borders and a financial wall around our families, but we have also built a legal wall to protect our children from the gender ideology that targets them,” Viktor Orbán stressed. “Family ties shall be based on marriage or the relationship between parents and children. To sum up: the mother is a woman, the father is a man, and leave our kids alone. Full stop. End of discussion,” Orbán explained.

Born on the wrong side of the mountain

Armenia and Azerbaijan for several years have been fighting over an enclave of Armenians inside Azerbaijan. The Armenians want to be part of Armenia. The government of Azerbaijan says the land is not Armenian.

Now, Armenian residents of villages along the Bedzor corridor have been given until Aug. 25 to leave Azerbaijan. “The announcement that the Armenian residents of Aghavno, Nerkin Sus and Berdzor must evacuate came days after two Armenian soldiers were killed and 19 injured in incursions launched by Azerbaijan on August 1 and August 3 across the line of contact with Artsakh.”

https://armenianweekly.com/2022/08/10/armenians-ordered-to-leave-berdzor-corridor-ahead-of-azerbaijani-handover/

The government of Armenia will give each evacuated household 10 million drams (about $25,000) to buy a place to live.

“Ten million drams will be enough to purchase real estate in the regions of Armenia, the Caucasian Knot correspondent has been explained by a consultant of the Yerkir Real Estate Agency real estate company located in Yerevan. According to the real estate specialist, the amount of 10 million drams will be not enough to buy real estate in Yerevan and in the suburbs of the Armenian capital.

“Lilit Martirosyan, a broker of the Goris Realty real estate company, notes that in Goris with its population of over 20,000, the amount of 10 million drams will be enough to purchase an old private house without repair. According to the real estate specialist, the prices for habitable private houses start from 15 million drams. ‘With 10 million drams, you can buy a one-room apartment with repairs or a two-room apartment without repairs,’ Lilit Martirosyan told the Caucasian Knot correspondent.

“According to the expert, the amount of 10 million drams is also enough to buy a house in a village. ‘For 10-11 million drams, you can find houses in the village of Khartashen with 170 inhabitants and in the village of Verishen with over 2200 inhabitants,’ the real estate specialist noted.

Webb pictures bring a big ‘What if’

From Hot Air

Never-before-seen stuff causes questions.

“To the average layman, that’s really just more pictures to ‘ooh’ and ‘ahhh’ at. But for astronomers and cosmologists reviewing all of this new data, it isn’t turning out to be a wonderful experience at all. Many of them have already begun reporting that there’s something not quite right with the seemingly endless parade of ancient and frequently small galaxies out there. Few are saying it out loud yet, but they are speculating that one theory that has been taken as fact for a very long time now may not have been correct. The dreaded conclusion could turn out to be that the big bang theory is wrong and it may never have happened.

https://hotair.com/jazz-shaw/2022/08/17/astronomers-looking-at-webb-what-if-the-big-bang-didnt-happen-n490341

Come on, people. How many kinds of creation have scientists promulgated since the first shooting star caused Brog to exclaim, “Holy ****!” just before the lightning struck? Yes, reputations are made/lost, grant monies granted/taken away based on “scientists agree.” Depending on which article you read, the Large Hadron Collider “Disproved the string theory,” or “Did not!” The jury is still out.

It is good, though, to see “science” almost donning gloves for a knockdown, dragout fight.

Anti-tank dogs didn’t work 80 years ago, but, hey, now we have computers and robots

From Vice

Germans invading the Soviet Union in 1941 were startled to see dogs running at panzers and trying to crawl beneath the tanks. In Hitler Moves East, author Paul Carell mentions dogs with what looked like antenna strapped to their backs. Inspection of the dogs, killed by German soldiers, with good reason, showed the antenna were activation rods for explosive vests the dogs wore. Interrogation of prisoners showed the Red Army trained the suicide dogs to crawl beneath tanks, tripping the activation rod, detonating the explosives.

Whether suicide dogs actually existed is a matter of debate, but continuing the Russian penchant for making anything a weapon, a developer at the Russian arms fair this week demonstrated a robotic Fido with an RPG strapped to its back.

How do you say ‘Geraldo Rivera’ in Russian?

From Hot Air

Chuck Pfarrer says a “pro-RU journalist” posted a video of the Russian mercenary Wagner Group with the address of the building housing the group’s HQ in Popsna, Ukraine. Ukrainian forces reacted quickly, with Wagner deaths reported as around 100.

Murdering the Romanovs

“When the team entered, the commandant told the Romanovs that, since their relatives in Europe [probably meaning German troops under the leadership of the empress’ cousin, Emperor Wilhelm II – ed. note] were continuing their offensive against Soviet Russia… the [Ural] District’s executive committee had decided to shoot them. Nikolai turned his back to the team and faced his family. Then, as if coming to his senses, he turned to the commandant and asked: ‘What? What?’ The commandant hastily repeated his words and ordered the team to prepare. The team was told in advance who was to shoot at whom and ordered to aim directly at the heart in order to avoid a large amount of blood and end the affair as quickly as possible. Nikolai said nothing more and turned back to his family. The others uttered several incoherent exclamations for several seconds. Then the shooting began and lasted two to three minutes. Nikolai was killed on the spot by the commandant himself. Then, Alexandra Feodorovna and the Romanovs’ servants died immediately... Alexey, three of his sisters, the lady-in-waiting [Anna Demidova], and Botkin were still alive. This surprised the commandant, because they were aiming directly at the heart. They had to be shot again. It was also surprising that the bullets ricocheted off something, like hail, and bounced around the room. When they tried to stab one of the girls with a bayonet, the bayonet could not pierce the bodice. Thanks to all this, the whole procedure, counting the ‘check’, took 20 minutes.”

Talk of red herrings ridiculous, FBI sort of says

Yeah, we went in and did some questionable stuff, but it was only to smoke out terrorists and insurrectionists. We did it for national security.

From RT

“The FBI and US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) claim that they’ve received threats of bombings, violence, and ‘civil war’,  since federal agents raided the Florida home of Donald Trump. Supporters of the former president say the search was politically motivated.

“The FBI and DHS have identified multiple articulated threats and calls for the targeted killing of judicial, law enforcement, and government officials associated with the Palm Beach search,’ the agencies warned in a bulletin to federal and local law enforcement as reported by multiple US outlets on Sunday.

“The bulletin stated that federal agents have observed an increase in violent threats posted on social media against federal officials and facilities,’ including ‘a threat to place a so-called dirty bomb in front of FBI Headquarters and issuing general calls for 'civil war' and 'armed rebellion’.”

Missouri sheriffs tell FBI ‘No’ on CCW files search

From The Epoch Times and Knuckledraggin

“The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has so far randomly audited 24 sheriff’s offices in Missouri in search of concealed carry weapon (CCW) details, but they all refused to comply, according to law enforcement authorities.

“’None released anything pertaining to CCWs themselves, but some did partially comply by answering procedural questions on issuing CCWs,’ said Moniteau County’s Sheriff Tony Wheatley.

“Wheatley is among the sheriffs who received an email from Missouri’s Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s office on Aug. 9 in which he reminded law enforcement officers not to comply.

“’The federal government, they overstep some, and it’s our job to put them in check and stand up for what we know is right.’”

2024 win necessary, and a generation or more continued winning

“(P)olitical eras are formed in America not on the basis of one election but rather five or six in a row. The Democrats kicked off the first era of our political history with Thomas Jefferson’s rout of John Adams in 1800, and they didn’t lose a presidential race until 1824, by which time Democratic politics was American politics. Ditto for the second era, which began with Abraham Lincoln’s 1860 victory; the GOP didn’t lose a presidential election until 1884. And the third era, which is coming to a miserable end, began with Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s rout of Herbert Hoover in 1932; it was 1952 before a Republican again won a presidential race, and Dwight Eisenhower was necessarily so timid when it came to domestic policy that by the end of his tenure the John Birch Society was convinced he was a communist mole.

“The point being, it takes a generation for the concrete of a new political era to cure. And that means it’s less important whether Trump or DeSantis wins in 2024 than that one of them does. And furthermore, what’s more important than that is the standard both of them set for Republican politicians up and down the governmental food chain.

UN official condemns Islamic Jihad rocket attacks, loses job

 From Times of Israel

“The UN has removed the head of one of its offices serving the Palestinians after she posted a tweet in which she condemned Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s ‘indiscriminate rocket fire’ during the recent Gaza conflict, a UN spokesperson has confirmed to The Times of Israel.

“The revelation came days after Sarah Muscroft tweeted her support for the ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian terror group after three days of fighting.

“Muscroft, who had been based in East Jerusalem, came under massive criticism from pro-Palestinian activists who said she was blaming Palestinians for the latest round of violence and was failing to hold Israel responsible.”

She later deleted the Tweet, calling it “ill-informed.” Her e-mail account says she is on “annual leave.”
