Went shooting this afternoon
At Manatee Gun and Archery Club, the shoot organized by Bore Patch and Miguel from Gun Free Zone. Around 25 shooters participated. I fired an SKS and a Mosin-Nagant 1944 carbine. Firing a full size 7.62mm in a carbine produces a bit of recoil. I am out of practice and had a difficult time getting a good sight picture. I also fired TSgtJoe’s Ruger Mini 14. I did better with the peep sights. My oldest, Michael, was there, too. He did better than I did with the SKS and the 1944 Mosin. Michael is quite, quite proficient with his Ruger 10-22.
A good time was had by all.

Residents of an elite Washington, D.C. neighborhood took to an internet message board in a state of panic after spotting a white man parking his work truck on the side of a public street, eventually calling police over fears that the truck was an “insurrectionist” vehicle.
According to a recent report from The Washington Post, residents of the elite Adams Morgan neighborhood in Washington, D.C. took to the Next Door app – a hyper localized social media network described as a cross between Facebook and Craigslist – to accuse the vehicle’s driver of engaging in domestic terrorism, honing in on the color of the driver’s skin and the truck’s Gadsden Flag, “Don’t Tread on Me” license plates as evidence of impending doom.
“There’s this suspicious white truck that is parked on the corner of Belmont and 19th,” the thread’s original post claimed, describing the driver as a white male and aking note of the truck’s “Don’t Tread on Me” tags, which are available to anyone with a vehicle registered in Virginia.
“The Don’t Tread on Me tags say he probably has guns
and is probably angry at some minority or politician,” a response to the post
read as Adams Morgan residents and users of the community-based Next Door
social media platform began to panic over the sight of the truck.
Some
users began drawing comparisons to the recent Nashville bombing and the January
6th Capitol Hill protests, which the Adams Morgan residents labeled an as
“insurrection.”
One
user even made the claim that the truck was part of a plot to assassinate
former President Barrack Obama, who lives in the nearby Kalorama neighborhood,
while others claimed that the “insurrectionist” vehicle was part of the latest
right wing conspiracy to takeover Washington, D.C. “I just want the
police to be aware,” another user said.
When
police arrived on the scene, they found the vehicle to be occupied by its
owner, who was doing nothing wrong and was part of a construction project in
the area.
“When
things are serious, things need to be taken seriously — instead of just being a
sheep. You got to look out for your tribe,” Michael Landry, one of the thread’s
posters, told The Washington Post.
Additionally,
Landry told The Post that he and other Adams Morgan residents have remained
“vigilant” in recent months, keeping an eye open for out-of-town license
plates, bumper stickers conveying conservative messages, and people who aren’t
wearing masks.
When faced with the reality of having accused an
innocent working man of domestic terrorism, Landry told The Washington Post
“I’m actually kind of ashamed of some of the things I said — but I stand my
ground on everything I said.”

You can't rob a bank unless you present proper ID
Edner Flores, 34, entered a PNC Bank branch in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood on Jan. 27 and allegedly tried to rob it by handing a teller a note stating that he wanted $10,000, with "no die (sic) packs," and that he was armed, according to a federal criminal complaint.
The teller activated a silent alarm and (asked) the man to fill out a blue
withdrawal slip, which he did, then asked for his ATM card.
The helpful Flores instead produced a temporary Illinois state ID
card, authorities said. WMAQ-TV reported police arrived while Flores was still
at the window, arrested him and found a knife in his jacket, according to a

Murdered children's ID tags found at Sobibor

Annie
Kapper was the oldest of the four. Born in January 1931, she was all of 12
years old when she was sent to Sobibor with her family on March 30, 1943. The
trains arrived on April 2nd and all 1255 Jews on board were sent to the gas
chambers. Her aluminum tag was discovered near one of the camp’s mass graves.
David
Yehuda Van der Velde was part of the same transport as Annie Kapper. He was 11
years old when he and his family were deported from Camp Westerbork to Sobibor
on March 30th and gassed to death on April 2nd. His aluminum tag, the right
side broken off, was discovered just west of the gas chambers.
Deddie
Zak’s tag was found at the site of one of Sobibor’s crematoria.
Heartbreakingly, the tag had been burned. Deddie had been imprisoned at Camp Vught, a concentration camp in the
southern Netherlands, and was part of the mass deportation of Jewish children
from Camp Vught to the transit camp at Westerbork on June 6th and 7th, 1943.
More than 1,000 children from age 0 to 16 were transported to their deaths,
including 119 small infants, 55 babies and 123 toddlers. On June 8th, they were
loaded onto freight trains and sent to Sobibor. They were gassed to death
immediately upon arrival on June 11th.
Lea
Judith de la Penha, her mother Judith and father David were arrested and held
in Westerbork in July 1943. On July 6th, they were deported to Sobibor in a
transport of 2,417 Jews. They arrived on July 9th. Mother, father and little
girl were murdered that day. She was six years old. Her tag was found near the
camp’s railway platform.
Yoram Haimi [of the Israeli Antiquities Authority[said: “As far as we know, identity tags with children’s names have only been found at Sobibor, and nowhere else. Since the tags are very different from each other, it is evident that this was probably not some organised effort. The children’s identity tags were prepared by their parents, who were probably desperate to ensure that the children’s relatives could be located in the chaos of the Second World War.”

The Jews murdered on June 11, 1943, included 155 small infants, 55 babies and 123 toddlers. How was it done, preparation for murder? Were the children carried into a gas chamber and laid out or perhaps told to sit on the floor? Were the babies thrown into the gas chamber? Perhaps the children were carried by Jewish caretakers, who remained in the chamber with the children, telling them, "Ssh, ssh. Everything will be all right." If there were caretakers for the babies, they were from a different generation, people who believed in God, and they prayed for the children as the carbon monoxide seeped in from outside.
After the war, we did not kill enough Nazis, not enough camp guards, not enough SS officers who ran the camps, certainly not enough civilians who gladly assisted Germany in rounding up Jews in villages, towns and cities.

More indications Stonehenge stolen, moved from Wales

The Guardian reports on an interesting new discovery concerning Stonehenge.
An ancient myth about Stonehenge, first recorded
900 years ago, tells of the wizard Merlin leading men to Ireland to capture a
magical stone circle called the Giants’ Dance and rebuilding it in England as a
memorial to the dead.
Geoffrey of Monmouth’s account had been dismissed,
partly because he was wrong on other historical facts, although the bluestones
of the monument came from a region of Wales that was considered Irish territory
in his day.
Now a vast stone circle created by our Neolithic
ancestors has been discovered in Wales with features suggesting that the
12th-century legend may not be complete fantasy.
Its diameter of 110 metres is identical to the
ditch that encloses Stonehenge and it is aligned on the midsummer solstice
sunrise, just like the Wiltshire monument.
A series of buried stone-holes that follow the
circle’s outline has been unearthed, with shapes that can be linked to
Stonehenge’s bluestone pillars. One of them bears an imprint in its base that
matches the unusual cross-section of a Stonehenge bluestone “like a key in a
lock”, the archaeologists discovered.
Mike Parker Pearson, a professor of British later
prehistory at University College London, told the Guardian: “I’ve been researching
Stonehenge for 20 years now and this really is the most exciting thing we’ve
ever found.”
The evidence backs a century-old theory that the
nation’s greatest prehistoric monument was built in Wales and venerated for
hundreds of years before being dismantled and dragged to Wiltshire, where it
was resurrected as a second-hand monument.
Geoffrey had written of “stones of a vast
magnitude” in his History of the Kings of Britain, which popularised the legend
of King Arthur, but which is considered as much myth as historical fact.
Parker Pearson said there may well be a “tiny
grain” of truth in his account of Stonehenge: “My word, it’s tempting to
believe it … We may well have just found what Geoffrey called the Giants’
Dance.”
The discovery will be published in Antiquity, the peer-reviewed journal of world
archaeology, and explored in a documentary on BBC Two on Friday presented by

Ga. — Specialists across the U.S. Army have begun testing a new early-warning
system that lets them know when a senior noncommissioned officer is inbound to
their position.
A trove of
leaked hand-scribbled notes, as well as blueprints and photographs, have
revealed the existence of the Specialist Hands-free Automated Mobile System for
HIgh-ranking Enlisted Leader Detection, a repurposed mobile radar platform. It
has been programmed to spot angry senior noncommissioned officers on approach
before quickly sending out a notification, similar to an AMBER Alert, informing
users of the bogey’s speed, location, and anger-level, according to experts who
have reviewed the materials.
A barracks
resident who had scribbled sharpie over his still plainly readable nametape
showed reporters the current alert on his phone. He then told reporters that he
had to “go to dental” and walked off before his first sergeant could spot him.
Further tests by barracks scientists show the SHAMSHIELD
increases the average warning lead-time from 2.4 minutes to 3.837 minutes,
allowing non-NCO E-4s more precious time to find cover and concealment or
pretend to be busy with something else. Developers plan to feed the data into a
predictive model that will allow them to forecast the most likely days and
times the barracks-dwellers should be on alert.
“Back in the
day, we knew to quickly skedaddle or grab our shamming-clipboards because one
of the guys would run past and tell us ‘First Sergeant is on his way, and he
looks pissed!’” said Ben MacKall, a former soldier who left the service last
year. “When smartphones came along, we used mass text-messaging. But based on
what we’ve seen in the leaked report, it looks like they’ve perfected the
process.
“Go figure that
they managed to rig it together using duct tape, dip cans, and zip-ties.”
Development of the device comes as no surprise to NCOs between
corporal and staff sergeant, according to Staff Sgt. Ignacio Vidal, a military
policeman who discovered one of the SHAMSHIELD emitters mounted on an old
military vehicle atop a concrete bunker during a routine patrol.
“As a young E-4,
I was quite good at making myself scarce when I realized ‘Top’ would be paying
us a visit shortly,” said Vidal. “But as I’ve climbed the ranks, I’ve become

‘Nude, drunken shopping spree’ always gets attention

A California woman is facing multiple charges after police said she became belligerently intoxicated and caused scenes – stripping naked at one point – in multiple Arizona businesses on Wednesday.
According
to police, Melissa Dawn Hahn, 53, ran up a $154 tab at Mecca Bar and Grill in
Wickenburg and became angry – swearing at staff and customers and spitting on a
man – when her credit card was declined, KTVK reported.
Hahn
reportedly left the restaurant without paying and entered nearby retailer
Cactus Flower, where she began trying on items in the middle of the store,
KSAZ-TV reported.
When
Hahn’s credit card was again declined – this time for purchases totaling more
than $4,000 – store owner Karen Jones-Burk said the woman assaulted her with
profanity, tossed wine about the store, tore items off the wall and tried to
leave the store wearing nearly $800 in merchandise, the TV station reported.
“That’s
when she proceeded to take everything out (off?), and I mean everything,” Jones-Burk
told KSAZ-TV.
Jones-Burk
also told the TV station that Hahn offered at one point to buy out the entire
store and told her that she receives a daily allowance of $10,000. Hahn’s
banker later confirmed the allowance claim, but Hahn had reportedly exceeded
her daily limit by the time she attempted her shopping spree.
According
to KTVK, police later found Hahn at a different nearby bar, wearing a Mecca Bar
T-shirt and a stolen bracelet. Court documents indicate Hahn is accused of
theft, disorderly conduct and indecent exposure.
“We
don’t see that in Wickenburg. Wickenburg is a quiet cowboy town, and she was
more of a wild woman,” Jones-Burk, who plans to press charges for the missing
merchandise and disruption, told KSAZ-TV.

Sitting in a bar in the US were a Scotsman, an Englishman and a son of Ireland. the Scotsman says, "As good as this bar is, I still prefer the pubs back home. In Glasgow, there's a wee place called McTavish's. The landlord goes out of his way for the locals. When you buy four drinks, he'll buy the fifth drink."
"Well, Angus," said the Englishman, "At my local in London , the Red Lion, the barman will buy you your third drink after you buy the first two."

I am not a service provider,

Today is Tuesday
Baker, our 2-month-old standard poodle had her first vet visit this morning. We got Baker a week ago Monday. She weighed just a bit more than 8 pounds. Today she weighed a bit more than 12 pounds.
My wife and I got our second COVID shot this afternoon. The nurse person who was to shoot me pinched my right bicep a few times and said, "Ohh! That's a good muscle!" I said, "It's good to know something on an old man is holding up."
We have family and friends in NE Texas, SW Arkansas and NW Louisiana. It sure ain't Florida there. A few prayers would be good.

There are two Publix stores within three miles of my house. Both do good business. Both stores anchor shopping centers with approximately 15 other businesses.

President Joe Biden has released a statement allowing a closer look at what his “commonsense” policy on gun laws will be, demanding, among other things, that Congress pass universal background checks and ban “assault weapons.”
“Today, I am calling on Congress to enact commonsense gun law reforms,” Biden said in his Sunday statement. The timing matched the third anniversary of the Parkland shooting, which saw a gunman open fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, killing 17 and wounding another 17.
Biden has long promised to put his weight behind
stricter gun laws if he were elected president and his ideas run down the list
of common demands gun-control advocates often push for. The president is
calling for universal background checks on all gun sales, banning high-capacity
magazines, an “assault weapons” ban, and “eliminating
immunity for gun manufacturers who knowingly put weapons of war on our
streets.”
“We owe it to all those we’ve lost and to all those left behind to grieve to make a change. The time to act is now,” Biden said.

I have read several articles on racism inherent in math instruction and in math itself. Every one of those articles said schools must teach non-Western, non-White methods. Not one story said what those non-Western, non-White methods are, not has any mentioned outcome when schools teach African or Asian philosophies.

Trump found not guilty, but you can bet the Democrats will continue their lies

As their dishonest narrative collapses around them, mainstream media outlets and Democrat politicians are trying to hold together their latest bid to destroy Donald Trump, but some of the lies are getting too big to shrug off.
I’m reminded of the media-speak popularized during the Trump era – lightly used words or phrases that became ubiquitous in the talking points, like "violating norms" – especially the term "debunked." In the eyes of MSM and their controllers, Trump was a president who needed to be debunked thousands of times. Whether it was about the size of his Inauguration Day crowd, the animal-like savagery of MS-13 gang-bangers or the fact that Haiti is “a s**thole”, any Trump claim had to be debunked, false or not.
When an obnoxious loudmouth constantly blurts out things
that lift the skirt on the ruling class' treachery, his voice must be
discredited. And even if just part of his story can be attacked, the rest will
be forgotten. It's like a Jenga game where all the pieces automatically fall
down when one is removed.
But the same standard doesn't apply to the media's own story
lines. No matter how many times MSM and establishment politicians are exposed
as liars -- from the MLK bust in the Oval Office to the Russia collusion hoax
-- the people are supposed to keep believing the gist of their arguments. The
Jenga tower can be levitating with entire floors missing, but the con artists
insist that it's still standing.
We're seeing it again in Trump's second Senate impeachment trial. Giant holes have been blown in the MSM-DNC narrative about the January 6 "insurrection" at the US Capitol, but that's not supposed to matter. For instance, when lead House impeachment manager Jamie Raskin (D-Maryland) got caught lying on Wednesday about the content of an alleged telephone call between Trump and a Republican senator during the Capitol riot, he admitted that his claim was false and shrugged it off. "This is much ado about nothing because it's not critical in any way to our case," he said.
Never mind that the point was apparently considered important
enough to submit as evidence. Raskin was essentially allowed to wriggle out as
if he said, "The
fact that we're lying about this doesn't reflect whatsoever on the veracity of
anything else we're telling you."
A far bigger and more central piece of the impeachment Jenga
tower shouldn't be sloughed off so easily. In fact, Capitol Police officer
Brian Sicknick is so central to the narrative that his cremated remains were
displayed in honor at the Capitol Rotunda to remind everyone of the viciousness
of the alleged Trump domestic-terrorism army.
The tale of the brutal Trump mob is always punctuated with the fact that five people were "killed" during the riot, er, "white-supremacist insurrection." One of those people was Ashli Babbitt, one of the rioters, who was fatally shot by a law enforcement officer. Three others were election-fraud protesters who died from health crises – a heart attack, a stroke and an unidentified medical emergency – during the January 6 demonstration and riot.
The talking heads who wish Trump supporters dead in every other case are counting Trump supporters in the death toll from an incident perpetrated primarily by Trump supporters. It's as if they're leading a story on a hostage crisis by saying that 30 people were killed without mentioning that 25 of those were hostage takers, including 22 who died of food poisoning.
Therefore, it's easy to see why Sicknick is so important to the
story. He's the one alleged victim who wasn't on Team Trump that day. MSM and
Democrat politicians told us over and over that the officer died from being
bludgeoned in the head with a fire extinguisher, even though Capitol
Police's official statement was only that he "passed away due to injuries
sustained while on duty."
CNN's Wolf Blitzer, Anderson "CIA" Cooper and other MSM hosts ignored the Sicknick family's request to not make the officer's death a political issue. They portrayed it as a murder without any such determination by investigators. No one has been arrested in connection with Sicknick's death, and no murder case has been built so far.
But the Sicknick story has crumbled in recent days with the
revelation that medical examiners didn't find any indication that the officer
sustained any blunt force trauma. Investigators are reportedly considering a theory that
Sicknick became ill after coming in contact with a chemical irritant, such as
pepper spray, that was deployed in the crowd.
The vast majority of Americans haven't heard about this
gigantic wrinkle in the Sicknick story because the media, predictably, hasn't
blasted out corrections of their false reporting. They've adopted more careful
storytelling about the officer's death, with the fire-extinguisher bit missing.
Also obscured is the wrinkle that Sicknick communicated with his family after the riot. Ken Sicknick reportedly said his brother sent him a text hours after the riot, saying, "I got pepper-sprayed twice," and that he was in good shape. The next day, the family was informed that Sicknick was in critical condition, on a ventilator.
Without issuing a correction on any of its false stories with the fire-extinguisher tale, CNN reported the fact that Sicknick died of something other than blunt force trauma. In its first article acknowledging that reality, the network immediately transitioned from the Sicknick investigation to background about other officers being injured by rioters. It was like saying, "our central claim wasn't true, but that doesn't change the fact that the Trump mob was vicious."
It's the Jamie Raskin response all over again. Never mind the falsehoods that we've been telling you. None of that stuff we said over and over had anything to do with our central point that Trump incited an insurrection. And don't let the fact that we've been telling you falsehoods cause you to question our credibility. The house of cards, the Jenga tower, still stands strong.
But how many pieces have to be debunked before we can
call the project debunked?
