Some of us knew early on the Russia thing was a farce

No, worse than a farce. It was an attempt by people in power to ignore an election that did not go their way, an attempt at overthrowing legally-elected Donald J. Trump.

“For perspective, from the time leading up to the 2016 election through today, I chose to live amongst poor and working-class people of color, with occasional forays into the rural working and middle classes and the urban bourgeois. What became apparent early on is that the audience for the Russian interference story was the urban and suburban bourgeois who had seen their lots by-and-large restored by Barack Obama’s bank bailouts and who had no knowledge of, or interaction with, the 90% of the country that is living, by degree, hand-to-mouth.
“What this implies is that the received wisdom amongst bourgeois Democrats— the bosses, bank managers, academics, realtors and administrative class, looks to be what it is: a combination of class loathing that their ‘lessors’ didn’t perceive the munificent blessing of their electoral choice; mass delusion on the part of self-styled ‘high-information voters’ about who really controls American ‘democracy;’ and studied ignorance of the consequences of the last half-century of bi-partisan neoliberal governance.”
(The Democratic Party is run today by the same people who dictated slavery politics until defeated by Northern aggressors. Today’s Democrats rule by keeping blacks enclosed in urban ghettos, ensuring continued votes and support by making low-income black and brown citizens dependent upon government payments, just as the slaves of ante bellum Democrats were dependent upon owners’ gardens and kitchens.)

From empire to haven for terrorists

“During the twentieth century, Britain sank from being the world’s foremost power to a marginal colony of Brussels where you can go to jail over a Facebook post.

Nazis, fascists, anti-Semites at Pitzer College

“The Student Senate of California's Pitzer College has drafted a resolution calling for the removal of College President Melvin Oliver, after he decided to retain Pitzer's study abroad program in Israel against the recommendation of the Pitzer College Council, made up of students and faculty.

“The resolution calls for ‘enacting no confidence in the President of the College,’ and ‘for his immediate resignation or removal from office,’ the Claremont Independent, a student newspaper, reported.”

As Ace also says: “That these prissy little suburban Nazis continue their ridiculous charade of pretending that anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism are two different things is a bit embarrassing. Or maybe it is just cowardice, because they get to criticize Jews from the safety of their comfortable dorm rooms, with a vanishingly small risk of actually meeting a Jew who will bop them on their entitled little noses. Maybe that should be Israel's outreach... inviting these people to one of the West Bank towns where Jews are actually under the gun; both literally and figuratively. That would be an immensely satisfying scene: watching these soft, loud SJWs ranting and raving about the evil Jews, and then watching them get knocked on their asses by a Jew the likes of which they have never met or ever imagined.

“The reality of all this Jew hate is that it is a subset of the anti-western cant of the left. Israel is on the front lines of the fight against the anti-western philosophy of the progressive and hard-left movements, and they toss in their reflexive anti-Semitism just for shits and giggles.”

(Pritzer is a California college, so what else can we expect? Entitled (read “rich”) liberals who believe that their opinions are the only ones that matter. Inmates running the asylum.)

AOC gets even more stupid

“They had to amend the Constitution of the United States to make sure Roosevelt did not get reelected.”

And, the Civil Rights Act was an accomplishment of the New Deal.

(1)  The 22nd Amendment limiting a president to two terms went into effect in 1951. Roosevelt died in 1945.
(2)  The Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964, some years after the New Deal.

Ms. AOC’s attention span in American history classes was as great as her attention during economics classes.

Arctic Sami protest regional government’s decision leasing land to hunting club.

“In a letter to the UN, the Sami people accused the Murmansk region’s administration of violating their indigenous rights by giving away land that is traditionally used for reindeer pastures, the investigative Novaya Gazeta newspaper reported on Friday.

“The indigenous group invited experts from the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues to visit their district and help establish a dialogue between the Sami and local authorities, Interfax reported on Monday.

“The head of the hunting club told Russia’s Daily Storm news website that it had “passed every inspection” and is operating legally.

“The Sami had unsuccessfully lobbied President Vladimir Putin to intervene in the land transfer, Novaya Gazeta reported in February.

“Samara, in fact, is not a bad city. But a great deal of stupid, unexplainable and surrealistic stuff happen right there – in Samara. The strangest accidents and incidents can make you think that citizens of Samara are ‘under the influence’…

“(A) great deal of stupid…” Applies to many US cities. And towns. And states.
