Ukrainian blonde scam
While looking for information on the Model 1944 Mosin-Nagant the other day, I came across references to Maria Nikiforova, an anarchist of some fame during the Russian Civil War. I had never heard of Nikiforova, so I did searches and got a number of references to cities in the Ukraine.
Today I am searching those cities and already I have a conclusion:
There are no men of marriageable age in Alexandrovsk.
I am looking at “Images of Alexandrovsk,” and of the first 19 images, eight are of young women. Of the next 25 pictures, 10 are of young woman. I am not clicking on any of the pictures. Placing the cursor on one picture gives information that the woman is “well-bred, tender and sophisticated.”
Well, good for her.
Then there are: “29-yo seeks male …”, “44 yo smiling, cheerful and cute Ukrainian girl …”, and another, holding an apple: “scammer ID #----, Natalie from Alexandrovsk. Stop scam, stop fraud.”
I figure what indicates one, indicates all. Good sense would dictate blonde 44 yo Ukrainian “girl” is in the same neighborhood as that Nigerian widow who needs to deposit $35 million in my checking account.
Just saying.
A funny. Picture of a dog lying on its side, with information, “Alexandrovsk Overview, Things To Do, Hotels, Restaurants, Local Customs …” Taking pictures of sleeping dogs must be a local custom.
The next 29 pictures, 24 are young women.
On the bottom row, tucked in between four lovely Ukrainian ladies is a mug shot of Maria Nikiforova. She was executed by the Whites in 1919. She gave her life so her future Ukrainian sisters could post color photographs of themselves. What else would an anarchist do?

Legal at last, legal at last!
The Federal Government is headquartered in Washington, D.C. The Federal Government has oodles of laws that slap you in jail for growing and/or using marijuana. Recently, a man bought marijuana in Washington, D.C. Legally.
Where were DEA agents and DHS agents? What is illegal is illegal, isn’t it?
Not in D.C. The U.S. Congress four years ago decided the D.C. City Council could determine whether to allow prescription marijuana sales. The feds might hammer your head for having dope in Montana, but not in D.C.
The buyer bought slightly less than half an ounce for around $250. Sixteen times $250 … (Find calculator.) … $4,000 a pound. I am in the wrong business. Except, I am not in any business at all. I am retired.
Anyway, I can’t sell medical marijuana or any other kind of marijuana in Arkansas. Not legally. Nor would I, except maybe if everything fell apart and government went away (not bloody likely) and it was every man and woman for himself and herself and people were willing to trade food for marijuana, but then people who raised food and who wanted marijuana could also raise their own, so there goes that idea.

(I wouldn’t buy a used car from someone whose ideas on reproduction and growth and such were so very wrong. Mother Nature does make mistakes, or at least Stuff Happens and sometimes that Stuff is not pleasant. Like HIV. Diseases are not Mother Nature’s mistakes, are they? Whatever, the dude who bought dope is HIV-positive, and HIV people were big backers of prescription marijuana.
(So, if you want legal marijuana in your state, get the HIV people and needle drug users and homosexuals to carry signs outside the State House. But ... You might not get HIV people and homosexuals, because that would maybe point at a link between the two, and everybody knows there is no link, because everybody is suscptible to developing AIDS. Even you monogamous heterosexuals. Right?)

Graduate school: U.S. and Sweden

American universities today appear to be heading down the same path as Swedish universities, in that they are adapting to the political climate, rather than being institutions for classical wisdom and critical thinking.

However, being a Swede, I know socialism when I see it, and I am forced to conclude that getting an apolitical education in the U.S. in many schools no longer is an option.”
