Surgery
My wife had breast cancer surgery yesterday (Tuesday). Everything went well. Posts will be few or none until she gets home. She and I thank you for your prayers.

Nothing about President Trump
Apparently, non-American news outlets didn't get the "Enemy of the People" memo.
Not in dailynewshungary.com, but an interesting story on proposed rules in Germany, France and Holland, that could put 15,000 Hungarian truck drivers out of work. Yea for the Common Market!
One “kind of” Trump story in The Moscow Times, about “Russia Won’t Respond to U.S. Visa Cuts Because That Would Be ‘Genocide.’” Another story says “North Korea’s First Tourist Agency Turns Out to Be Russian.” Maybe tied in: “Nuclear Weapons Will Keep Russian Tourists Safe, Says North Korean Official.” “One Police Officer, Two Assailants Killed in Russia’s Dagestan.”
Caucasus news via eurasianet.org has nothing on Trump, but does have the president of Tajikistan accusing Iran of several assassinations in the 1990s. Azerbaijan continues building up military forces in Nakhchivan in its sometimes shooting disagreement with Armenia. Journalists are arrested in about every country in the Caucasus, but that is not new. Kim Kardashian (Armenian) is using lipstick to undermine Azerbaijan patriotism. Every government is closing something it doesn’t like.

No 'H' in 'inclusiveness'

No “H” for “Heterosexual,” i.e., “straight,” “non-queer” or any of those other things. Why is there no “H” in that long list? BECAUSE WE DON’T COUNT.

Doing us a favor, right?
A couple of days ago my wife got a letter from something called Texas Retirement Alliance in Lubbock. Neither of us was ever affiliated with the TRA, but my wife’s mother did have an account with Texas State Teachers Association. Could this TRA be connected with TSTA?
No.
An enclosed return card referenced “Florida Regulated Benefits” and “American Prosperity, LLC.” The card also stated the “2017 Benefit Information” is “For Florida Residents Only.”
So, let’s recap. An organization in Lubbock, Texas, wants my wife to take advantage of something available only to Florida residents.
The “something” is the State of Florida Regulated Benefit will pay 100% of funeral expenses up to $25,000.
The card also claims this benefit is a “State Regulated” program. That sounds as though the State of Florida will make the payments. I doubt that is true. My guess is, the “State Regulated” reference is to the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.
A little more checking turned up some interesting things.
The return address on the return card is 6720 28th St., Lubbock, Texas 79407-9812. Google that address and you will find Escondido Apartments.
If you think your prosperity advisor should have an address that is not an apartment, then check out “American Prosperity LLC DBA Howard Johnson Inn near NY, Jamaica.”
An insurance company doing business as a motel. Yeah, nothing wrong there.
So, do you want fries with that burial plan?
