BLM leader Lilith Sinclair in
Portland says something about “while standing here on stolen land…” She gets
applause from the small audience.
Given Ms. Sinclair’s
statement, one might assume she believes all land in this country is stolen
land, by white men, since women, blacks and others were, historically,
incapable of stealing anything, since property ownership was for white men
only.
One might also assume Ms.
Sinclair believes all that stolen land must be returned to its rightful owners.
Okay, Ms. Sinclair. Whatever you own, give it back.
Do you own a house? By your
own admission, it is on stolen land.
Let’s further assume, though,
Ms. Sinclair has no real property, but lives in an apartment or a condo. Give
it back. Organize a strike and refuse to pay rent on stolen land until your
land lord gives back land on which your building sits.
Give it back.
Search shows Ms. Sinclair is “a
(b)lack and indigenous nonbinary person,” so says The Portland Mercury.
