The Sunshine State

Florida weather has returned to West Central Florida, at least for a few days. For two consecutive nights earlier, low temperatures were at or just below freezing.

Not so today. As of now, 1:57 p.m., the temperature is 81 degrees American. Tomorrow’s high is forecast to be 84. Eighty-four! An expected high of 82 on Friday makes these three days almost perfect. We could use some rain, and Saturday’s forecast shows a 40 percent chance of that.

The dogs and I are on the patio (lanai in Floridese) – Baker standing alert as she waits for some movement to bark at, Winston asleep on the couch.

Characters wait to get into situations that only I can rescue them from, so I must get back to work.

The seven cypress trees around the pond are in brilliant yellow-orange.
