Estranged wife picks wrong holdup target

Three suburban St. Louis residents are being charged with second-degree murder, assault, and armed criminal action after a wife’s deranged plot against her estranged husband went wildly amiss.

The “mastermind,” 25-year-old Jasmine Kimbrough, thought it would be a good idea to send three thugs to her husband’s house Sunday. The plan was for the three yoots (Gregory Bell, 18, Davion Rainey, 18, and Bell’s 16-year-old brother, Noah Bell) to burglarize the place and attack the husband if he was home.

The three, who were armed with at least one gun, got as far as the back yard before they were confronted by Kimbrough’s husband, who shot at them. All three ran off.

The husband called the police, who arrived at his home around 1:30 in the afternoon. The officers canvassed the area and eventually found Noah Bell nearly dead of a gunshot wound along the River Des Peres. He died shortly thereafter. Kimbrough and the two 18-year-olds were subsequently arrested.

Police say all three suspects have confessed.

Take the advice of homeowner Alexis Quiros: “Grab him by the head and go to work on him,”

North Miami, Florida:

Alexis Quiros says he got the call from a neighbor late Friday afternoon telling him that someone broke into his North Miami home.
When Quiros arrived home, he said he wanted to make sure the burglar got what was coming to him.

“Whoever goes in somebody’s house, needs to die,” Quiros said. “You don’t do that.”

Quiros who told police he confronted and beat a burglar who broke into his North Miami home Friday afternoon. And he didn’t mince words about it.

“From the upstairs all the way to downstairs he got his (expletive) tore up,” Quiros said.

Quiros said he arrived home from work and found the burglar in the upstairs of the house. He suspects the thief got into the home by climbing onto the upper portion of the home.

“I find this dude in the top floor like he owned the house,” Quiros told reporters.

When Quiros confronted him, he said he showed the burglar no mercy and there are blood stains in parts of the home to prove it.

“Grab him by the head and go to work on him,” Quiros said about the confrontation, adding that he was like “Mike Tyson.”

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ)-- Yvonda "Bonnie" Gatens woke up to the sound of a man trying to pry open her bedroom window early Christmas Eve morning.

Gatens lives off Showen Hill Road in Putnam County. She and her late husband built their home 40 years ago.
After she heard the noise at the window, she called 911 and grabbed her gun.

"I told him 'you're going to die' and he fell over to the side," Gatens explained to WSAZ.

Putnam County Sheriff's deputies responded to the woman's call, but they were unable to find the person.

Despite losing a sense of security, Gatens is relieved everything ended up OK. Now she's encouraging her neighbors to keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

"If you come in here, it's going to be you or me, and I'll see to it that it won't be me!" Gatens said.
