Why is the former Democratic Party presidential candidate not talking about all of us, Democrats and Republicans, working together for the betterment of the country? During her campaign, Mrs. Clinton promised to work with all Americans. During the Obama years, Mrs. Clinton and other leading Democrats often had bad words for the Republican Party, which was accused of thwarting Democratic initiatives.

Accused of not doing enough when three Americans were killed in Libya, she asked, “What difference does it make now?” The same question is relevant to accusations she and her husband used the U.S. Department of State to get hundreds of millions of dollars into the family foundation.

Chelsea Clinton said in an interview she tried but could not become interested in money. She no longer has a $600,000 contract with NBC, but works for her father’s foundation.

And, yes, former Bush administration people make speeches and sometimes are paid a less embarrassing amount. Condoleezza Rice got $25,000 from Montana State University in September 2012; $150,000 for an April 2014 talk at the University of Minnesota, where a revived Students for a Democratic Society found her fee “troubling” and said the money could be spent on better things.
