Wow. British board bans Protein World ads

Apparently, a model in a yellow bikini threatened societal security. Or, “narcissistic lunatic” and “shrieking harpies” made ad board officials feel bad for all women who do not look like the yellow-bikini-clad model.

I vote #2.

Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett, one of the harpies, “had returned from Cuba to reverse culture shock in the “dark putrid bowels of London’s underground system.” There, she was assaulted by ads that featured attractive women.

Protein World

I don’t know what the company sells, but I admire its leadership and management for not backing down. None of that “We realize the world is made of many different kinds of people, and we certainly did not intend to insult anyone. We apologize to anyone whose feelings were hurt by our ad campaign.”

No. Protein World responded to angry Tweets in the manner in which said Tweets were received.

“why make you insecurities our problem?”

“here is a shoulder for you to cry on.”

When you take the fight back in kind, the attackers do not know what to do, because all to often they have been told surrender is the only recourse of their enemies.

“You’ll lose no customers and become a champion for those who share your side of the issue.”
