Put them away forever, no chance of parole

Two Little Rock men, 18 years old and 20 years old, were arrested Friday morning after killing Christian Hayes, 25, at the Sbarro Restaurant in a mall Thursday night. The two also shot Jashonta Thomas, 18, several times.

Deonte Edison and Tristan Bryant are accused of killing Hayes and wounding Thomas while robbing the restaurant. Police said Edison once worked at the restaurant.

Edison once worked at the restaurant. That is why he or Bryant killed Hayes and tried to kill Thomas. Hayes and Thomas knew Edison. They would have identified him. “Deonte Edison robbed us,” Hayes and Thomas would have told police. And Edison and Bryant would have gone to jail for armed robbery.

When these two are found guilty for capital murder, jurors should not assign them for execution. Jurors should say, “Life, with no earthly chance, ever, for parole.”

Let Edison and Bryant live out their lives behind the walls of a state prison.

Forever can be a long, long time.
