On a job application 26 years ago, this guy said he was a Navy SEAL

But now, with truth appearing from the closet of deceit, the new police chief of Waukegan, Ill., says: “Anything that preceded my employment here as a police officer has no bearing on my 26 years as a law enforcement officer here.”

Phony SEAL chief of Waukegan, IL PD

Chicago Tribune: “… Chief Robert Kerkorian never trained as a SEAL, according to military records obtained by the Tribune. He was in the Navy for six months …”

(This Ain’t Hell has a link to the Tribune story, but the Tribune says you have to subscribe to the paper if you want to read the story.)

Mayor Wayne Motley said Kerkorian’s military records are “not relevant to his employment as chief.” The mayor added, “He’s very well-respected.”

Also said the mayor: “Of course, everyone knows that Chief Kerkorian and I are very good friends. I trust his judgment. I trust his abilities. I think he’s a man of character.”

(I really don’t know why people make false claims of military service. Maybe it’s a small ego in need of expansion. But here’s the real thing: If they’d had the cajones to do it back when, there wouldn’t be the lies now.)
