Redneck way of doing things: You have a problem. You have friends. Your friends have beer (or vodka). Somebody comes up with “Let’s give this a shot.” The idea works or it doesn’t work. If it doesn’t work, you drink another beer (or a shot or three of vodka) and somebody says, “Hey, hold my beer for a minute. I’m owna* try something.”

*Redneck for “going to.” Also applicable is “fixin to.”
