Really. She’s still around?
After slinging stuff all over Catholics and denying her Irish faith, does she
believe anybody listens to her?
Sinead O’Connor is now a
Muslim. Oh. So now she thinks people will listen to her. Apology. “Thinks” is
the wrong word. “Hopes,” maybe, ”her addled mind leads her to believe…”
Last year she changed her
name to “Magda Davitt.” That’s not close to an accepted Muslim name, so she now
calls herself Shuhada Davitt. Okay.
As
Laura Cat of The Voice of Europe says: “That is correct, the
Irish singer has converted to Islam, as one does when they are an ageing former
celebrity not having been in the news for anything meaningful for the last
decade.
“Being over 50 and needing a way to remain relevant in the
media, she donned a hijab and started posting photos and even a video of her
singing the Adhan, the Islamic call to prayer.
“Well, truth is, it was no worse than any of her previous
‘hits’, but she will be practicing it so as to not mispronounce things as she
said she had. Personally, I wouldn’t know.”
