Zardiashvil commented
on morals of Eka Beselia, so Ms. Beselia slapped him.
“Please do not ask me
to comment on his statements. He got what he deserved,” Ms. Beselia
said during a break in the Legal Issues Committee meeting.
Ms. Beselia also said,
“I have refrained many times precisely because I don't find it correct to talk
to this person, but when he allowed himself to insult me in such a public, open
space, at a sitting, I had to respond to this provocation. Everyone will be
responded for such provocation and abuse. Ivanishvili is also responsible for
what is happening, as MP Vano Zardiashvili speaks on behalf of his party.”
Mr. Zardiashvili said,
"I have been unwillingly involved in this process. I reiterate – I
apologize. Society does not deserve to see such processes in the legislative
body. As for Ms. Eka Beselia, I have not insulted her. She is constantly trying
to establish herself in the political process. So she is ready to do anything
for this.”
