Netflix walrus deaths ‘fiction and emotional manipulation at its worst’

“Dr Susan Crockford, a zoologist, told The Telegraph that Netflix’s narrative over the Our Planet scene is ‘contrived nonsense’ and that ‘This powerful story is fiction and emotional manipulation at its worst’.

“’The walruses shown in this Netflix film were almost certainly driven over the cliff by polar bears during a well-publicised incident in 2017.’”

(The Netflix production claimed ice-melt from climate change caused confused walruses to fall from cliff and onto rocks.

(Since David Attenborough was involved, proof of fiction is best found by following the money and the propaganda. Climate change adherents – formerly known as global warming enthusiasts – do not make money or get paying gigs unless hundreds of animals die in the most horrible ways.

(The story also notes that Disney-produced wildlife films also stooped to fiction and killing of animals.

(“In 1958 Walt Disney produced ‘White Wilderness,’ part of the studio’s ‘True Life Adventure’ series. ‘White Wilderness’ featured a segment on lemmings, detailing their strange compulsion to commit mass suicide.

(“According to a 1983 investigation by Canadian Broadcasting Corporation producer Brian Vallee, the lemming scenes were faked. The lemmings supposedly committing mass suicide by leaping into the ocean were actually thrown off a cliff by the Disney filmmakers. The epic ‘lemming migration’ was staged using careful editing, tight camera angles and a few dozen lemmings running on snow covered lazy-Susan style turntable.”)

Polar bears besiege Russian research station

“Five hungry polar bears have surrounded a team of unarmed researchers at a remote outpost in northern Russia.

“The bears have settled in the fields outside a weather station on the island of Vaygach in the Arctic Sea, preventing researchers from leaving the building to conduct their work, the World Wide Fund for Nature in Russia said in a statement.

“The team, which consists of two meteorologists and an engineer, tried to scare them off with flares, but the bears were undeterred — and the Russian WWF says the team has no other weapons at its disposal.

“The bears sleep near the station and have been seen fighting with one another outside the building in recent days, one of the researchers at the station told Viktor Nikiforov, the head of the WWF Polar Bear Patrol project.

The day Al Gore was born …

… there were 7,000 polar bears on Earth. Today, only 26,000 remain.

Oceanographer takes unusual step to find out thickness of Antarctic ice

He measured it.

“Ted Maksym, an oceanographer at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts, conducted a study in which he sent an underwater robot into the depths of the Antarctic sea to measure the ice.

“His results contradicted previous assumptions made by scientists and showed that the ice is actually much thicker than has been predicted over the last 20 years.”

(Apparently “The polar bears are melting” crowd had not thought of that.)

"We do not know what the climate will be in 10, 20 years."

Cute, cuddly and numerous

“Scientists believe that half of the population of penguins in the Antarctic region has been depleted in the last 50 years due to the climate change. It is the species known as the Emperor Penguins that have seen the largest losses.”

(No date, but at the bottom of the web page is “Copyright 2009 Infoqis Publishing, Co.” Information is from the National Science Foundation – nsf.org – aka, Your Tax Dollars At Work.)

Last 50 years, 50 percent of penguins dead, killed, wiped out because of global warming.

But wait! There’s more!

“ScienceDaily (Apr. 13, 2012) — A new study using satellite mapping technology reveals there are twice as many emperor penguins in Antarctica than previously thought.”

“Lead author and geographer Peter Fretwell at British Antarctic Survey (BAS), which is funded by the U.K.'s Natural Environment Research Council, explains, ‘We are delighted to be able to locate and identify such a large number of emperor penguins. We counted 595,000 birds, which is almost double the previous estimates of 270,000-350,000 birds. This is the first comprehensive census of a species taken from space.’"

So, if an actual head count shows twice as many as previously thought, but hand-wringers say half the Antarctic’s penguins had died from global warming, doesn’t that mean the overall numbers are the same for the past 50 years?

Northern Canada has 25,000 polar bears.
