Whom should US send to an international conference on human rights?

How about Salam Al-Marayati? He is president of Muslim Public Affairs Council, and if anybody knows anything about human rights, it’s Muslims, right? And, he has a firm grasp of history and reality.

As he said on Sept. 11, 2011, after the Twin Towers fell: “If we’re going to look at suspects, we should look to groups that benefit the most from these kinds of incidents, and I think we should put the state of Israel on this list because I think this diverts attention from what’s happening in the Palestinian territories so that they can go on with their aggression and occupation and apartheid policies.”

Oh. Israel attacked the U.S. in order to divert attention from its treatment of poor Palestinian refugees. How clever.

Yeah, Al-Marayati was a great choice.
