The remark about no one being happy with the new post office building replacing the store is common throughout Texas when the federal government decided the PO Department seemed a rather ramshackle outfit if local mail business was conducted in a general store. Congresspersons always make a big deal about getting a new post office, but seldom remark about the new fancy building not having a potbellied wood stove for winter heat and conversation around.
