Florida white Christmas

Accompanied by our two sons and daughter-in-law, my wife and I on Saturday went to Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island. Lots of other people had the same Dec. 26 destination. Those other people went in cars, of course. And on motorcycles and bicycles. Traffic was thick, and parking places not so many.

The beach was nice. Waves from the Gulf rolled in, onto the mix of ocean-crushed shells and white sand, mostly shells. The afternoon sun was warm, but not too hot.

Altogether, a nice day after Christmas.
