Easter vacation in Egypt. It’s a joke, right?

Nope.

‘Find The Best Egypt Easter Offer Through Charming Of Egypt’

“Easter is an ancient holiday that is celebrated in Egypt. When most people are thinking of Egypt Easter Offer, they likely picture themselves visiting the Pyramids of Giza, setting their eyes upon the Great Sphinx, or perhaps taking a camel ride through the desert.”

It’s an ad for a travel company, so I won’t link to it.

A comment or two: Christianity has been in Egypt since the beginnings of Christianity. Egyptian Christianity is older than Roman Christianity. So, the religion is close to 2,000 years old.

In the world of now, though, Christians in Egypt serve as targets for jihadists and the Muslim occasionally angry at something, so he makes Christians carriers of a foreign religion, even though Islam is a late-comer to Egypt.

Examples from December 2017: “Egypt’s Coptic Christians targeted in deadly attacks”

“Gunman kills 11 in attack on Coptic church”

“Islamic State claims responsibility for attack on Christians in Egypt”

“Christian persecution: Egypt Copts terrified by 1,000-strong mob”

Headlines don’t do justice to facts, but you get the idea
