CDR Paul C. Charvet, US Naval Reserve, assigned to Attack Squadron 215, USS Bon Homme Richard, was lost in Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam, on 21 March 11967. His accounting was announced on 11 May 2021.

The military services always search for the missing, whether circumstances are known or unknown. A former Air Force reconnaissance specialist said of the days following the disappearance of Bowie Bergdahl: “We used every asset we had trying to find him, and I mean every one.”
